CourseGraphic This course provides essential knowledge for workers who may encounter excavations and trenches in their workplace. These areas pose significant hazards, and it’s crucial to understand safety procedures to prevent incidents. Key topics covered include common hazards, soil conditions, soil mechanics, types of protection systems, and one-call protocols. This is an awareness-level course; the competent person or persons must be designated by the participant's safety organization/ department.  The OSHA 29 CFR 1926.651 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926.652 standards are the covered requirements and are followed during this course.
