This course is designed to provide you with a deep understanding of the multifaceted nature of chronic absenteeism, particularly within the context of New Mexico, and to equip you with the tools and strategies necessary to foster a supportive and engaging educational environment for all students. This will include the importance of attendance, understanding chronic absenteeism, legislative framework and research insights, ecological/contextual considerations, and strategies for how to deal with these issues and factors in your classroom.
